Yanni has arrived, I am happy to say, and actually arrived on time at the airport. The taxi to pick her up was predictably 40 mins late picking me up, so she had some waiting to do, but had sorted visa and the rest of it by the time we got there. She was introduced to staff and volunteers around the lunch table, and retired to bed for a much needed catch up.
We are going to Lake Malawi soon, hopefully on our first day off, and will probably be scuba diving so we can get to see some of the areas 600 famously beautiful fish.
We have also been talking about the possibility of visiting Victoria Falls in Zambia. I had been entertaining fond hopes of a cool glass of lemonade with ice and a comfortable room with fabulous views of the falls. But Yanni's first reaction to the suggestion that we visit was 'Do you think we can sky dive over the falls?' We will see what transpires over the next few days.
